Parker Future Students
Prerequisites
Prospective students may apply for admissions to Parker College of Chiropractic at any time before completing their prerequisites, but cannot be accepted until 75 hours of cumulative work have been completed. We recommend close contact with our Admissions Counselors to consult on selection of prerequisite courses. An Admissions Committee determines acceptance and may request a personal interview. Applicants must be graduates of or eligible to return to the last school attended, or be able to provide a letter of honorable withdrawal from that school.
For admissions consideration to Parker College's Doctor of Chiropractic Program, all applicants must fulfill these stated minimum academic requirements. Students cannot begin courses at Parker College or receive financial aid disbursements until all these requirements are fulfilled. Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and 90 semester hours of specific prerequisites to gain acceptance to Parker College.
All of the courses used for prerequisite requirements must be applicable toward a Bachelor's Degree. Remedial, vocational/technical, or developmental courses designed to prepare the student for college level courses are not acceptable as prerequisites. Courses may be taken at the community college level or university level, as long as the institution is accredited by an agency which is nationally recognized by the Secretary of Education of the US Department of Education.
Parker College exceeds the existing standards of the Commission on Accreditation of the Council on Chiropractic Education with regard to admission requirements for applicants to chiropractic colleges.
