Alumni Association Awards
Each year the Parker Alumni Association acknowledges a few of the heroes and noteworthy people who have made a difference in this profession. We strongly encourage all chiropractors, chiropractic assistants, staff, and supporters of chiropractic care to submit names for consideration. Awards are not exclusive the graduates of Parker College.
ALL NOMINATIONS FOR 2008 MUST BE RECEIVED BY JULY 1.
Chiropractor of the Year Award
- This doctor exemplifies what was learned in school by promoting wellness and educating the community on the benefits of chiropractic.
- Gets the community involved in doing things to better itself along with helping its members where needed.
- Does not necessarily have to be a Parker graduate.
International Chiropractor of the Year Award
- This doctor has made significant advancements for chiropractic care in another country. He/she has ensured that chiropractic is available to every member of the community.
- This doctor has made a difference in the lives of those he/she is treating in addition to the community itself.
- He/she has done this by creating and fostering community involvement.
Lifetime Achievement Award
- This person is someone whose overall contributions to the school, profession, and community go above and beyond all others.
- He/she has been helping chiropractic care advance for numerous years.
- Exemplifies “giving” personality
- The nominee for this award does not have to be a Parker graduate.
Dr. James W. Parker Award
- The doctor for this award is someone with vision.
- This doctor is someone who exemplifies the Parker Principles and who has a very strong chiropractic philosophy.
- Note: This award was created by the charter class and should reflect the sacrifices this class made and the amazing vision it had to help mold the school into what it is today.
Alumni of the Year Award
- This person is extremely passionate about Parker, his/her patients and the profession itself.
- This doctor gives back to Parker in all ways possible.
- He/she refers prospective students to the admissions office, gives lay lectures and may even speak at Assembly.
- This doctor is very visible in the community in addition to the profession.
Young Alumni of the Year
- This alumna/us is extremely passionate about Parker, his/her patients and the profession itself.
- This alumna/us graduated within the last five years and has established himself/herself in the profession.
- This alumna/us was involved while as a student and plans to continue his/her involvement as an alumna/us.
- This doctor is visible in the community in addition to the profession.
