Parker College of Chiropractic held a Veterans Day celebration in honor of United States veterans and active military members. Guest speaker Brigadier General (retired) Rebecca S. Halstead shared her journey as the first woman to serve as Chief of Ordnance for the United States Army. She also spoke about the importance of veterans’ mission to continue serving after duty. Local military officers and community members attended the celebration.
The American Chiropractic Association (ACA) presented Dr. Fabrizio Mancini, president of Parker College of Chiropractic, the ACA Presidential Award for his outstanding leadership and service to the chiropractic profession. Dr. Mancini celebrated his 10-year anniversary as president of Parker College this year.
Parker College of Chiropractic announced plans to establish a Stay Fit Seniors (SFS) facility within the Parker College Wellness Clinics, making Parker the first chiropractic college to embrace this program. Parker will join SFS in its mission to help thousands of chiropractors help millions of seniors.
Dr. Aleisha Serrano, Parker College of Chiropractic’s Colombia Abroad Staff Doctor, was invited to join the Colombian archery team as their chiropractor during the 45th World Archery Championship held in Korea, which included 64 competing countries.
Dr. Eric Russell, associate professor in the Department of Chiropractic Sciences at Parker College of Chiropractic, was inducted into Palmer College of Chiropractic’s Great Hall of Philosophers. Dr. Russell’s photo was added to the Palmer College of Chiropractic Great Wall of Philosophers, which includes Dr. B.J Palmer, Dr. James W. Parker, Dr. R.W. Stephenson, Dr. Galen Price, Dr. Fred Barge, Dr. Virgil Strong, and other Palmer luminaries.
Marcia Wieder, America’s dream coach, spoke at Parker College of Chiropractic on how everyone can make their dreams their new realities. Wieder is known for giving inspiring and moving talks. In addition to being a compelling speaker, she’s the renowned author of four books dedicated to achieving your dreams: Making Your Dreams Come True, Life is But a Dream, Dreams are Whispers From the Soul, and Doing Less and Having More.
International speaker and author Elisabeth Fayt spoke at an all-school assembly at Parker College of Chiropractic about pre-paving all of the aspects in your life. Fayt is a firm believer in the law of attraction and believes that people can choose their thoughts by being positive so that they can create happiness for themselves.
 The 2009 Dallas Morning News Top Workplaces program has named Parker College of Chiropractic one of the top 100 places to work in the Dallas metro area. The results were based solely on satisfaction surveys that asked employees to score Parker College in relation to business operations, values, policies, management, and facilities.Â
