New Site, New Dates, New Days and the Return of Ice Hockey Announced for 2009 Chiro Games
Board Agrees to Two-Year Deal in Cocoa Beach

President Obama campaigned on a platform of “Change” and the Chiro Games Board of Directors listened. In a year of transition, the board has announced the 2009 Chiro Games will be played in Cocoa Beach, FL, beginning Saturday, November 7, and will conclude with championship games Sunday, November 8, on the “Space Coast.” While many details will be announced in coming weeks, the games will feature 12 sports (including co-ed competition in beach volleyball, softball, running, tennis, and swimming). Men’s sports include golf, flag football, soccer, and basketball, while women’s sports include soccer and basketball. The board also announced the return of ice hockey to the Chiro Games lineup this year. A four-team ice hockey tournament will mark its first appearance in the Chiro Games since 2004 in New York.
